S.M Mowla & Associates was founded in 1995, by Syed Moksud Mowla, a Chartered Accountant from Bangladesh.

Syed Moksud Mowla has worked around the world in some of the largest companies, with major responsibilities and achievements. He has structured and setup accounting systems and frameworks for large conglomerates in Africa, and spearheaded accounting divisions in multinational corporations.

He is a chartered accountant from Bangladesh (ICAB), has an MBA, and is a registered SAIPA member.

He started his practice with the vision of providing extremely valuable and professional accounting and business consultation services to small businesses and in his mission he has helped many companies grow and succeed.

S.M. Mowla & Associates has helped over 1000 companies in its lifetime, and has a few 100 loyal clients.

S.M Mowla & Associates also strives to provide affordable services, offered at prices not available in any other accounting firm.

The company has since grown, and now has operations and an office in Cape Town.
